The game already gives you four slots each for Weapon, Vitality, and Spirit items to increase Weapon power, Survivability power, and Spirit Power. However, with Flex Slots, you can have four more items.

Unlike the other three categories, you can buy any four items and mix them in these slots. Moreover, gaining these slots can give you an inventory advantage over the enemies. If you have your 12 slots occupied and so do your enemies, having extra items can change the course of the entire fight. How to Unlock All Four Flex Slots in Deadlock

• Slot 1: When your team destroys all enemy Guardians a slot will open up. This objective is relatively easy as you will have to group up and destroy all enemy Guardians.
• Slot 2: If you destroy one enemy Walker, it will unlock another Flex Slot for all teammates. The best way to achieve it is by pushing a lane together where the Guardian is defeated early.
• Slot 3 opens after your team destroys all the enemy Walkers. This should be a late-game goal as its enemies can catch you off-guard whenever you push the Walkers.
• The final Flex Slot opens once you destroy a Shrine. Shrine can be hard to destroy as it is really close to the enemy spawn. Be careful when taking this objective.
